A Blue Banner Biography
Summary
April Lavigne took the music industry by storm and became an overnight star with her multi-platinum CD Let go. But what makes Avril particular special is that she writes her own music and has a style that is all her own. Avril believes everyone needs to express their individuality, which in her case is part skater, part punk, part tomboy and all musician. After starting her career singing country songs in her small Canadian town, Avril signed her first record deal when she was just sixteen. With the blessing of her parents, she quit high school and devoted herself to recording her first CD, which would go on to sell more than six million copies worldwide. The release of her second album, Under My Skin, has proven that Avril has the talent, determination and dedication to be a musical force for many years to come. And she's having a lot of fun, too
