Summary

Divorce lawyer Hannah Defoe, her mother, Ruth, and sister, Nina, handle divorce cases for London's wealthy and well-known. Following an argument, Hannah leaves the family business for a rival firm and unexpectedly reconnects with the only man other than her husband she could have imagined as part of her life. When her estranged father returns after 30 years, the toxic feud between her parents is re-ignited. The Defoe family is forced to confront their fractured past, and Hannah begins to question her own marriage
